EASY-TO-USE-DIRECTIONS
DO MY PLANTS NEED REPOTTING?
YES! Most household plants do! Telltale
signs that plants need repotting include wilting or yellow
leaves, little or no new growth, roots growing from drainage
holes or, soil pulling away from the pot edges. Regular
repotting is essential in maintaining healthy, vigorous
plant growth. Repotting is easy! Choose a pot approximately
one and a half the size of your existing one with a drainage
hole in the bottom. Place 2-5 cm. of GroundsKeeper's Pride
Composted Potting Soil in the bottom and gently pat down.
Center the root ball, fill with soil and once again gently
pat down. Leave approximately 2 cm. between the rim and
soil level. Watering the plant and soil slowly allows maximum
absorption.
Seeds & Starting Cuttings: Fill
trays or containers with GroundsKeeper's Pride 100% ORGANIC
Composted Potting Soil and pat down gently.
Cuttings: Form holes in the soil with
your finger or a pencil. Place stem into the hole and cover
lightly with soil. Keep soil moist, but don't drench. If
cuttings have difficulty standing alone, insert a stick
or ruler parallel to the plant and attach with a string
for added support.
Seeds: Form holes in the soil with
your finger or a pencil. Plant seeds according to seed package
directions. A clean spray bottle filled with water makes
an ideal applicator. Water daily, place in a well lit area,
and provide generous amounts of TLC!
Transplanting: GroundsKeeper's Pride
100% ORGANIC Composted Potting Soil is ideal for transplanting
into indoor and outdoor containers AND your beautiful flowerbeds.
After transplanting, monitor plants to ensure they are adapting
to their new environment. Supplement plant nutritional needs
with GroundsKeeper's Pride 100% premium ORGANIC Compost.
Many plants experience shock when being moved from one environment
to another. Reduce plant stress by choosing a day when conditions
are similar to those in original potted environment.
Plant Maintenance: Quick growing outdoor
plants and houseplants that are watered more than once a
week may require additional nutrients. Adding 2 - 5 cm of
GroundsKeeper's Pride 100% ORGANIC Compost to the top of
the soil will provide the added nutrient boost your cherished
plants need.
